Food Product Development Competition (FPDC) is a competition for national and international students in creating innovations for food products. The purpose of this competition is to increase student creativity in developing innovative food products on an industrial scale and contribute ideas for the realization of the benefits of functional food, namely as a maintainer of body health, as well as providing solutions or options for consumers with health problems. The development of functional food is certainly in line with the implementation of the prevention of various major health issues in Indonesia, also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 3, namely “Good Health and Wellbeing”. The theme of FPDC 2024 is “Applying food science and technology in developing traditional market snacks and beverages to improve health benefits for teens, adults, and seniors”.

FPDC 2024 includes a Product Development competition and an E-Poster competition, both the themes chosen based on the consideration that traditional food and beverages can be improved in terms of appearance, ingredients, and even nutrition along with the development of innovation and technology.
